I had the most wonderfully enjoyable time seeing animals in the wild for the first time, and taking photographs of them.
Rachel was incredibly helpful from the moment I booked – nothing was too much trouble for her before and during the trip. She advised me on the kit to take with me, about how to get the best out of my camera, and about the editing process.
This was all very new for me and I learnt a huge amount, having never been on an organised photographic trip before.
We saw so many animals like wildebeest, zebra and Impala that were part of the migration, as well as beautiful elephants and giraffes, and the big cats were just incredible...
Thanks Rachel for such a special experience.
WHY GO ON A
INSTEAD OF A
I'm Rachel Sinclair and photographing wildlife is my absolute passion!
I’ve been teaching photography to people from all walks of life for over 10 years, leading groups and personalised 1:1's both in the UK and internationally. I've successfully helped complete novices right through to professional photographers wanting to improve their skills in nature and wildlife photography.
I know what it's like to go on a workshop and feel completely out of place! When I started my photographic career, everyone was older than me and had much better kit! - Even though most of them didn't actually know how to use it! I've spent thousands on workshops and seminars only to walk away feeling like I haven't personally learnt anything new and that there were too many people so I didn't get the help & attention I needed to improve my images and build my confidence!
I pride myself on being different. My safaris are not an excuse for me to tell you how great my photos are. My safaris are all about YOU! How I can help YOU get the images you dream of, no matter what kit you have. I understand the importance of being patient and I have the ability to easily explain and help YOU become competent in the skills and techniques you need to get that perfect, once in a lifetime wildlife image, worthy of hanging on your living-room wall!
I'm the highest google rated photography tutor in Sheffield and I'm a member of the Society of International Nature & Wildlife Photographers.
All our photo safari tours have been carefully mapped out based around the migration patterns of the animals, ensuring you will have plenty of photographic opportunities and numerous, amazing wildlife sightings!
We also include an opportunity to meet and photograph real Maasai Warriors and other tribesmen. This culturally rich photographic session will add variety to your portfolio and provide you with an unforgettable life experience!
We have carefully chosen safe and comfortable mid-range hotels, lodges and camps based around location and client experience. Our Mara camp is a community project ensuring profits go towards building wells and schools for the local people.
All our photo safaris include your own private room/tent with an ensuite so you do not have to share unless you'd like to.
All ground transport is included in our photo safaris, starting and ending at the airport.
Game drives have a Max. 4 guests per vehicle so everyone can comfortably see sat down or stood up. Where possible we have arranged off-road licences so we can get closer to the animals in certain areas.
Helene, our wonderful Travel Counsellors agent is ATTOL protected so she can arrange all your flight requirements. Helene knows all our itineraries so she'll make sure you get the flights you need for your photo safari tour.
You don't have to buy any new equipment to come on our photo safaris.
After speaking with me, if you feel you would like to bring additional camera equipment we can arrange camera, lens and accessory hire for you.

My photo safari with Rachel was truly exceptional. The idea of photography safari was a new one to me. After spending my time with Rachel at Yorkshire Wildlife Park and seeing what fantastic guidance she gave on the camera, the photography terminology, compositions and pointing out things we were missing, I knew she would be unrivalled company on a wildlife photography safari.
Rachel exceeded my expectations time and time again. Even before we started our journey to Kenya, she provided helpful practical guidance and she proactively offered help with camera equipment rental. The photography workshops were another such example of exceeding expectations with the training materials provided and how informative the sessions were.
Rachel also really made me look at my photography style and look far deeper into what I wanted to convey with my photos. There was a vast improvement in my photos taken on the first day compared to last day and I was soon confidently and quickly toggling between the settings.
The trip itself was phenomenal, I love Rachel’s slogan, "REALLY see nature" and we did! It was wonderful to spend the trip with photographers who were happy to spend time sat in the land cruiser watching (and photographing) the animals or spending the afternoon following the five cheetah brothers across the Mara.
I have the most special memories and photos. Words fail me. I wholeheartedly recommend Safari Sinclair and I look forward to joining Rachel again on another safari adventure.
and let your adventure begin!
Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy by putting things off!
Have you ever thought, “I'd like to do that one day” but never actually done anything to make it happen!
Stop thinking about doing it and let's actually DO IT! The only person who can stop you is you!
All my safaris have been carefully designed around the migration patterns of the animals giving you the best opportunity to see numerous amounts of wildlife. We have carefully mapped out the most efficient routes to give you the maximum amount of time to photograph the exquisite wildlife and the breath-taking scenery.
We have just 6 or 8 places available per tour, so as you can imagine, once dates are released seats go QUICK!
Don't let this be one of those things you never got round to doing!
Dr John Chesham - joined us in Kenya for a Photo Safari
Our Kenya photo-safari took in Lake’s Nakuru and Naivasha as well as the Masai Mara. Whilst I had been on photo-safaris to the Mara before the Lake’s and their abundance of birds was a real treat for me.
Most of the time, however, was spent in the Mara and we enjoyed some fantastic sightings. Lion, including the famous ‘Scar’, leopard and the most elegant of the big cats, the cheetah.
Many fabulous memories that will stay with me forever.
Rachel was a fantastic host. Always there with good advice. Always ensuring you were in the right position to get that great photograph.
