deer photography Workshops

There's way more to these creatures than just the annual deer rut, however, it is a truly exciting time in my calendar and one that I would love to share with you!

Join me and learn how to use the available light and stunning scenery to create beautiful images of both red and fallow deer. With over 550 roaming deer and stags to practise on, you will have plenty of opportunities. I will teach you the fieldcraft I have developed over many hours with these majestic animals so you feel comfortable and know how to approach and photograph without disturbing them or their environment.

Starting nice and early so as not to miss the sunrise, we'll follow the sounds of the bellowing stags as they lead us into the park ensuring we get set up in time to utilise the best light.

I will be on hand to help you individually with your camera settings, and techniques. We will regularly review the images on your camera together so I can help guide you with how to improve your next set of shots.

I will teach you the tips and tricks I have learned over the years not only on my camera but also with the animal behaviour and how to anticipate these majestic animal's movements so you can nail those beautiful portrait shots and those epic action shots if a rut unfolds before your eyes!

"My daughter and I had a workshop training session with Rachel. She was very thorough and we had a great time learning about using our cameras away from the basic settings and introducing the use of more advanced functions."

"I decided I needed to take photography lessons to learn more about my camera and I have to say Rachel has been amazing. Rachel explains everything so well and is very patient. I have just changed my camera so will be heading back for some more lessons. If you are thinking about having lessons, I would say book in now!"
