DAY 1 & 2
Day 1 - When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport we'll be there to greet you with a very warm welcome. Together we'll all head to our accommodation in Arusha where we'll have time for a little rest and our first photography workshop to establish how best to help each individual throughout our safari together.
Day 2 - 06:30 - Rising early, we'll take a packed breakfast to eat on route to our first destination - Tarangire National Park.
This magnificent Park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park contains some of the largest elephant herds in Africa and is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx and Ashy Starlings.
After we've checked in and had lunch we'll head out for an afternoon game drive.
06:30 - To make the most of the gorgeous "first light" we'll head out for an early morning game drive in Tarangire before driving up to the heart of the Serengeti. As we enjoy a game drive en-route we will stop to photograph any special sightings we see along the way.
After a full day game drive, we'll check into our Serengeti camp.
18:00 – Lightroom workshop before dinner.
DAY 4 - 7
The following four days we'll embark on breathtaking full-day game drives in the North of the stunning Serengeti.
We will explore areas around the Mara River, Kogatende and Lamai to maximise our chances of seeing great throngs of Wildebeest crossing the river from the Maasai Mara heading back south into Tanzania.
With over 14,500 s/km of nature's wilderness, every day brings new photographic opportunities in the Serengeti. The vast numbers of elephants, giraffe, zebra and other herbivores, means there will also be lots of predators like lions, cheetahs and leopards to photograph along the way!
Each evening there will be an opportunity for lightroom sessions and image reviews.
The Serengeti covers vast areas where the landscape changes, so to add some variety to your photographic portfolio we'll head east to the Lobo Valley area which offers prime game viewing at this time of year!
Not only is it home to a large concentration of elephants and predators such as lions, leopard and cheetah, it also has an abundance of prey including impala, dik-dik, buffalo, gazelle, topi, hartebeest and many more.
In the evening there will be time for an Image Review and Q&A.
07:00 - We'll set out for a full-day game drive leaving the North Serengeti, through Central Serengeti and down into The Ngorongoro Conservation area where we will arrive in time for dinner and a relax.
Supported by its year-round water supply, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. We will also be treated to photographic opportunities of predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and leopards that all live in this picturesque national park.
We'll relax over a well-deserved dinner and enjoy another image review and optional editing session.
7:00 - After breakfast, we'll descend 600m into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including zebras, eland, gazelle and some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino.
We'll then head back to Kilimanjaro for your evening flight home where our safari comes to an end.
We can also arrange a luxury bolt-on for you to enjoy a relaxing, private few days in Zanzibar or Diani before returning to your home country.
